The 2024 Sea Sport Rendezvous had another substantial turnout in August, with 41 boats and 122 people in attendance.  Our fabulous group of boat owners and their families & friends were thrilled to return to the picturesque Lopez Islander Resort in Fisherman Bay, WA.  We battled a little bit of rain in the beginning, but when you’re planning an outdoor event in the PNW, it’s bound to happen at some point.  The weekend turned out to be gorgeous, nonetheless.

Boaters from all over arrived throughout the day on Friday.  The weekend officially kicked off with our meet & greet happy hour followed by our traditional potluck dinner, where the owners of the company are grilling and serving up the main course.  Saturday is for relaxing, whether that’s exploring the island, mingling with old & new friends on the dock, or hanging out at the pool.  Dinner was the island-famous prime rib and salmon buffet, with the surprise appearance of fresh crab that was caught on the way over and cooked on the dock by our very own Sea Sport team.  Our much anticipated prize giveaway, provided by our always generous vendors (listed below) did not disappoint.  It was a lovely evening where no one left hungry or empty-handed.  Anyone who wasn’t ready to call it a night headed to the resort’s Tiki Lounge for live music and dancing, or continued the party on the dock, and some families headed to the pool for an evening swim.  There’s something for everyone!

We had a record number of kids in attendance this year, and they had a blast.  So if you were wondering whether or not this is a kid-friendly weekend, the answer is YES!  And that is an all-encompassing friendly… people, pets, and boats of all ages.

This annual event has been growing steadily as word continues to get out, and it is truly enjoyed by everyone.  Space is limited.  So if you own a Sea Sport boat and have not yet attended, what are you waiting for?  The invitation has officially been extended, just email:  julie@nmiboats.com for details.

We have unanimously decided to bring the party back to Lopez this summer, and our date has been set… mark your calendars for the weekend of August 22-24, 2025!
